How the Databank Works
All datasets in the Callais Databank are free to access and download for educational, research, and non-commercial use. Datasets are either sourced from public open data portals (NOPD, CDC, USGS, etc.) or compiled and cleaned by Institute researchers and GRAs from multiple public sources.
Every dataset includes a Data Dictionary explaining column names, data types, and known limitations. We do not share proprietary or identifiable data.
If you use a Databank dataset in research or a project, we ask that you acknowledge the Callais Institute as a data source in any published or presented work.
