Research Assistant – Impacts Lab

Graduate Assistantship

Department: Impacts Lab, Callais Institute

Support applied research and statistical consulting engagements in the Impacts Lab, including community health, education, and economic development projects with real nonprofit and government partners. Responsibilities include data cleaning, exploratory analysis, and assisting with client-facing deliverables. Proficiency in R or Python required; prior coursework in statistics or applied analytics preferred.

Research Assistant – Data Science Education

Graduate Assistantship

Department: Data Science Education, Callais Institute

Support the development and curation of open educational resources in data science and analytics for K–12 and community college audiences. Responsibilities include reviewing curricula, assisting with lesson plan design, and helping evaluate teaching materials for classroom use. Strong communication skills and interest in education required; teaching or tutoring experience a plus.
